INTRODUCTION

I decided to make this page for a variety of reasons. The main one being the high number of truly horrid Elf names out there (almost all of them found in Mary Sue fics). Take a stroll through a Tolkien fic archive, and you're bound to be accosted on all sides by original female characters with vaguely Quenya-sounding monstrosities of names like Laurëlindëwendíel and such (I'm not even going to begin to point out the multiple impossibilities of that name).

Also, there are many talented writers out there who are far too busy coming up with wonderful stories to have the time to properly research their Elven languages, and I have been asked for help by a variety of people on a variety of occasions.

So this is my contribution to the world of Tolkien fanfic. If you are too busy or too lazy or just too lost to wade through volumes of Tokien's linguistic writings, this page is for you.
