Glorfindel's Generic Vanyarin Food
This recipe is very easy and can feed a small group of people that you don't care too much about. Or, if you're making it for yourself, there should be enough to sit around in your fridge as leftovers for three or four days.
- Put some oil in a big pan.
- Fry up a handful of chopped onion until brownish.
- Dump in a tin of lentils (drain off liquid first) and a tin of diced tomatoes.
- Add two spoons of curry paste, the reddish-brown stuff that comes in a jar (not powder!).
- Stir it all up and let it sit on low heat while you make rice (half hour or so).
- If you have a really big pan you can add a tin of chick peas too, but then you'd need another spoon or two of paste.
- Serve over rice with weird flat bread and lots of water.
